Among the many colored markers from Kuretake, the "CLEAN COLOR" series has been a continuously high seller for over 40 years.
1982
Launch of ZIG CLEAN COLOR
"ZIG CLEAN COLOR" series was initially released in 36 colors. The series name was selected carefully, "clean" suggesting the imagery of pure, vibrant ink in a well proportioned and simple design. With a soft, bluish-gray body color, it's designed to fit comfortably in the hands of any user.
1991
ZIG CLEAN COLOR lineup expanded to 60 colors
With the addition of new colors, it became a product that was not only easy to use for writing, but also for drawing and illustration.
1993
Launch of ZIG CLEAN COLOR Super
Release of an alcohol-based twin type marker for easy graphic design and illustration on paper.
1995
Launch of ZIG CLEAN COLOR II
ZIG CLEAN COLOR marker has been re-released as "ZIG CLEAN COLOR II" which has a breathable cap to ensure safety.
2006
Launch of ZIG CLEAN COLOR kawaii
"ZIG CLEAN COLOR Kawaii", a shorter pen body style of the CLEAN COLOR was released, designed to fit easily into a pencil case. This became the prototype for what later became the "ZIG CLEAN COLOR f".
2009
Launch of
ZIG CLEAN COLOR Real Brush
Incorporating the accumulated information, our "know how", for manufacturing brush pens, we released a brush-type color pen that is ideal for both drawing and lettering.
"ZIG CLEAN COLOR Real Brush" can be used for a wide range of purposes such as illustration, design, and comic or manga art. The fine brush tip makes it easy to draw both narrow and wide lines.
